Mailchimp's line stops where its public price list ends. SmartMailing's line stops at 500,000 emails a month, where Enterprise pricing starts.
Mailchimp: the cheapest public offer that covers 10,000 subscribers and 40,000 emails a month, with automations. Regular prices, monthly billing, before tax, no introductory discounts.
USD prices converted at the European Central Bank reference rate of September 24, 2026: 1 EUR = 1.1367 USD.
Mailchimp also bills unsubscribed contacts that are still in your audience, so your real bill can be higher. Separate brands often need separate audiences (Essentials allows 3, Standard 5); this calculator does not charge for that. Each tier also caps the emails you can send a month: 10 times its contacts on Essentials, 12 on Standard and 15 on Premium. Send more and the calculator moves you up a tier.
SmartMailing: monthly list price in EUR, before tax.

One list, four price tags.
What a weekly newsletter plus a welcome series costs each month: 4 emails per subscriber, automations on, the cheapest option that fits on each side.

Your list moves.
Its history comes too.
Connect your old account with an API key and pick a list (a group in MailerLite). SmartMailing only reads it, never changes it, and does not keep the key. Importing and sending start on Starter.

What stays behind, and how to replace it
Templates do not move between tools. Paste your website link and the AI builder creates on-brand emails with your logo and colors.
Rebuild your welcome series and drips in the automation editor, available from Growth up.
Old opens, clicks and sent campaigns stay in your old tool. Export what you want to keep before you cancel.
Swap the old embed code for a SmartMailing form or a hosted signup page, with double opt-in built in.
Seven steps,
in this order.
The order protects your sender reputation: domain first, list second, small sends before big ones.
Create your brand from your website
Paste your URL. SmartMailing picks up your logo and colors, so every email looks like you from the first draft.
Verify your sending domain
Add the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records we show you. You send from your own domain, never a shared one.
Import your list
Connect Mailchimp, MailerLite or Brevo with an API key and pick a list. Subscribers, tags, fields, consent dates and unsubscribes come across.
Rebuild your emails
Describe the email you want or start from your website. The builder does the layout, and you save the good ones as templates.
Swap your signup forms
Put the new form on your site or link to your hosted signup page, so new subscribers land here from now on.
Send small first
Warm-up raises your daily volume step by step. Start with the subscribers who open and click the most.
Cancel the old tool last
Import once more right before you cancel, so late unsubscribes are suppressed here too. Export any reports you want to keep.
Pay for the emails you send,
not the list you keep.
Priced by emails, not contacts
Each plan includes a monthly email volume. Contacts you keep but do not email never raise the price, and unsubscribed contacts never cost anything.
Several brands, really separate
From Growth up, one plan runs several brands. Each has its own domain, subscriber list, pages and sending reputation.
Your own domain, warmed up for you
Every brand sends from its own verified domain, and warm-up raises the daily volume automatically.
European, with consent built in
Emails go out through Amazon SES in the EU and your database is hosted in Switzerland. Double opt-in, consent records and tracking consent by country are built in.
